Based in Oceanside, California, the products are imported from Austria, Turkey, Israel, India and China. Top Quality products, favorable pricing and extraordinary next-day turnaround has established this popular site. The front end and catalog were based on proprietary CGI scripts. My work involved using sockets to download sales transaction data from the Apache webserver host to the backoffice windows network. Using VB5 and asynchronous events, code was written to prepare customer orders for fulfillment. I was also involved in the fulfillment operations. This site was for professional jewellers and hobbyists. It was sold on December 23, 2011, after more than a decade of active online business. I created the graphics on this page from the hundreds of individual high-quality online catalog pictures. |
